For the first time, the "College of Champions" sports sector will be unified under its newly established union, the COC Sports Federation.

In a resolution aimed at strengthening student-athlete support, the Polytechnic University of the Philippines College of Communication Student Council (PUP COC SC) formally created the federation on May 21.
Ahead of the upcoming University Intramurals this June, the council said it seeks to provide long-overdue administrative systems and greater financial accessibility for athletes.
While awaiting official accreditation from the PUP SC Commission on Student Organization and Accreditation (COSOA), council-appointed interim officers are currently managing the federation.
The body is guided by Associate Professor Debbie Jim Duran, PhD, as adviser, and Instructor Mark Louis Dela Rosa as co-adviser.
Its initial structure is composed of four working committees: public information, logistics and games operations, finance and resource generation, and secretariat and internal affairs.
The initiative took shape during the council’s third emergency meeting on May 12 and was finalized after a May 14 consultation with representatives from the Men’s Basketball Team, COC Manikang Pandigma Men’s Volleyball Team, Badminton Team, and the COC Cheering Squad.
The sports groups unanimously supported the unity, leading to the launch of the federation's official Facebook page on May 26.
