LITERARY | Haiku Confessions

Seasons are to change Day, dawn, night, all circles back; Yet real’ty discolors.

Seasons, time of day, and features of landscapes Poems that do not adhere to these rules are tag as Senryu

But no decree is more glorious than love

For the sake of lines, rhymes, and syllables,

Is there anything that transcends the loop of rapture?

1

She Would Bath’d with Roses Red

by Jessica Mae Galicto

A sight to hold dear

Burgundy petals showered

You’ll bloom, faint rosy

Toast the cherry wine

Together ‘till rose and bones

From garden to vault

2

And Violets Blew

by Julia Fye Manzano

The moon spills silver

Young violets - gold, and prose

On a banquet bard

Cast out by Eros’s tears

Kiss of a broken ballad

We are temple’s bound

3

And All the Sweetest Flowers

by Assumpta Gonzales

Garden as heaven

Where all the sweetest love blooms

She’s in spring season

Cherry as tulips

And all the white, pink peonies

She’s Valentine's dream

4

That in the Forrest Grew

by Shawn Pangan

Two souls wandering

As the forest trees sprouted

Their hands intertwine

Perched within the woods

Through the sequoia shadows

Endless love’s concealed
