š—”š—˜š—Ŗš—¦ | COCians snatch awards in DokyuBata 2022



COCian production teams snatched awards during the 2022 DokyuBata National Award Ceremony yesterday, November 11.


Kinse Productions bags 2nd Best Documentary in the Young Adult Division with their entry, ā€œNaglalahong Bakas." The all-BABr production team consists of Argie Cabanlig, Justine Polanco, Vannece Llera, Sandei Barrera, Mary Joy Jalandoni, Adelbert Abrigonda, and Sharmin Anne Colina.


Moreover, ā€œLife Streamā€ won "Best Direction" in the Young Adult Division under Paglaum Productionsā€™ directors Rubenich Reyes and John Lester Limpin, alongside production crew and BABr 3-4 blockmates Krizza Camarines, Roselina Busano, Franz Dominic Coquia, Ena Echaluce, Jireh Velasco, and Roda Dival. It also bagged the Gender Sensitive Documentary Award in the same division.


Special recognition was also presented to the documentary, ā€œGISIng Salinlahiā€ by Same Ground Studios. COCian crew members Gabriel Lacerna, Krizia Rivera, and Shamica de Mapue, alongside other non-PUP colleagues, took the Gawad Ramon "Bong" Osorio Award receiving a cash tip of ā‚±10,000.


Lamyak Productions also won "Best Poster" Award in the Young Adult Division for their entry, ā€œBoicy."


Led by the National Council for Childrenā€™s Television, the sixth edition of the documentary competition envisions a safer online media landscape for the youth.


ā€œBy giving them wings, and equipping them with the right tools to be inquisitive, to ask questions, and to distinguish truth from falsehoods, we will hopefully be part of the solution for a better future for media,ā€ veteran broadcaster Cheche Lazaro shared in the awards ceremony.
