The pitch campaign of AGTRESIBO took home the championship during the 31st Grand AdClash, with the theme, “Smarter Ways: Tech Solutions for Everyday Life,” on July 19 at SM City Manila.
Grand AdClash is an Integrated Marketing Communications (IMC) campaign competition for fourth-year students to exhibit various ideas regarding campaign materials, which include marketing strategy and target audiences.
AGTRESIBO, the grand champion of this year's AdClash, won a cash award of ₱20,000; BRAVADOS, the first runner-up, received a cash prize of ₱15,000; BILIBID, the second runner-up, received ₱10,000; and third runner-up AN1NAG received ₱5,000.
Five out of eight group special awards, with a 1,000 peso cash prize per category, were awarded to AGTRESIBO, including Best in IMC Campaign, Best in Radio Advertisement, Best in Print Advertisement Material, Best in Social Media Activation, and Best in Offline Activation and Events.
On the other hand, BRAVADOS got two group special awards, which include Best in Jingle and Best in TV Advertisement, while AN1NAG won the Early Bird Prize.
Furthermore, special solo awards were awarded to AGTRESIBO’s Mark Jonnie Lapidez as the Best Male Presenter and BRAVADOS’ Cameron Ericka Ann Tan as the Best Female Presenter.
The competition was conducted by the Polytechnic University of the Philippines Department of Advertisement and Public Relations (PUP-DAPR), which showcased pitches of four teams from the graduating batch of Bachelor in Advertising and Public Relations (BAPR).
The on-site return of PUP-DAPR’s IMC competition was judged by different industry leaders namely Margie Flores-Husmalaga, Patricia Gonzales, Shea Samonte, John Caparros, and Jimmclaude Gayo.
